NMSU Parking Department

WELCOME!

The Parking Department is pleased to offer this service to our customers.  This website allows students, faculty, and staff the ability to look at their basic parking account information, purchase parking permits (select types available - see below), and pay citations.  All of this can be done from anywhere you have internet access, at any time of the day (or night).

What permits are available on-line?

Students can purchase either campus resident, commuter student, or motorcycle permits via the website.  Current faculty/staff can purchase either inner-lot faculty/staff, outer-lot employee, or motorcycle permits via the site.  New faculty/staff will only be able to purchase outer-lot employee or motorcycle permits over the internet.  For a faculty/staff permit that allows parking in the inner campus lots, a faculty/staff ID card must be presented in person to the Parking Department.  Automatic Payroll Deduction for faculty/staff permits is also available - contact the Parking Department for details.  Disabled parking on campus only requires a current state-issued disabled plate/placard/hanging permit be displayed, so disabled parking permits are no longer sold at NMSU. (NOTE: Permit prices for the spring and summer do not change until December 15, 2007 and May 15, 2008 respectively.  If you are purchasing a permit for the spring or summer, please do not purchase until after these dates.)

What is needed to use the site?

A NMSU personal identification number (PIN), a Visa or Mastercard and a computer with an internet connection are all that is needed.  The website will require that the user's internet browser be set to allow cookies.  INTERNET EXPLORER 5.0 or newer  is recommended for best results.

Is the site secure?

Yes.  The website uses a secure server, and all credit card information is kept secure during the entire transaction.  For more information, view our page on website credit card security.

How Much Does A Permit Cost?

The following chart shows the costs for parking permits.  A customer may only purchase one permit at the listed cost, except for motorcycle permits which remain the same.  Second and subsequent permits cost $120 for students, faculty, and staff.  As a result, second and subsequent permits must be purchased in person from the Parking Department. (NOTE: Permit prices for the spring and summer do not change until December 15, 2007 and May 15, 2008  respectively.  If you are purchasing a permit for the spring or summer, please do not purchase until after these dates.)
